Microphone Pager

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Microphone Pager was a Japanese Rap group, formed in 1992, that originally consisted of Muro, Twigy, P.H. Fron, Masao, and DJ Go. The name of the group originates from the concept of "spreading a messsage like a pager that utilizes a microphone".

Following the release of their first couple of singles in 1993-1994, P.H. Fron left the group in June of 94, followed by the departure of Masao and DJ Go from the collective in December. Upon the release of the group's first and only album, Don't Turn Off Your Light, in 1995, Muro and Twigy were the only remaining members. The group folded after the release of a best-of compilation, Microphone Pager, in 1997.
