Micrelenchus caelatus elongatus is a subspecies of small sea snail, a marine gastropod mollusc in the family Trochidae, the top shells.

This subspecies is endemic to the Cook Strait area of New Zealand.
[edit] Shell description
This shell differs from the Micrelenchus caelatus subspecies in having a much taller spire, more numerous spiral cords, and these are continuously lined in dark pink, or purplish-brown, occasionally broken up into intermittent dashes, but on the base only.
The shell height is up to 8.5 mm, and the width is up to 5.75 mm.
