Mickey Walker (football player)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
George Mickey Walker[1] (born 1939-10-14 in Petosky, Michigan[2]) attended East Detroit High School in Eastpointe, Michigan. While there he played football on a team that included Gary Ballman. Later, he played for the New York Giants from 1961-1966. Wellington Mara, the Giants' co-owner, was quoted as saying "We've had wedge-busters... In the early '60s, we had Mickey Walker and before World War II, we had Nello Falaschi who used to bust the wedge feet first."[3]
