Mickey Smith (artist)

Mickey Smith (B. 1972 - Duluth, Minnesota) is a conceptual artist. She received a B.A. in photography from University of Minnesota, Moorhead. Her current project, Volume, developed as she began to photograph bound periodicals within library collections across the United States. Mickey is the recipient of a McKnight Foundation Artist Fellowship for Photography, a Forecast Public Artworks Public Art Affairs Grant, and was a finalist and alternate for the 2007 Fulbright Research Fellowship. Her work has been featured at Art Chicago 2007, and will appear in American Photography 23.
