Mickey Bullock

Michael Edwin Bullock (born 2 October 1946, in Stoke-on-Trent) is an English league football player and manager. Position, centre forward. Playing career - Birmingham City 1963/1967, Oxford United1967/1969, Leyton Orient1968/1975 and Halifax Town 1975/1978. Total football league appearances 469, goals scored 110.

Served as coach at Halifax Town at the end of his playing career and became the manager on 13 July 1981. Was sacked on 22 October 1984. Management record (league only) played 148, won 39, drawn 46, lost 63 - highest league position 11th Division 4 1982/1983 season. His most notable signing was that of striker Bobby Davison, who was captured for a fee of £20,000 from Huddersfield Town and following success at Halifax signed for Derby County and then Leeds United.

Bullock later managed Goole Town, winning the West Riding County Cup and Ossett Town F.C. he was appointed manager of Ossett in the summer of 1987 and Ossett won promotion from the Northern Counties East League Division 2 in 1989, the following season Ossett won promotion from Division 1 to the Premier Division. Ossett also won the League Cup in 1990. Bullock left Ossett in 1991 and reputedly worked as a scout for a number of Football League clubs.

Bullock's older brother, Peter, played for Stoke and Birmingham, amongst others, in the 1960's.
