Michio Kuga

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The mathematician Michio Kuga gained his PhD from Tokyo University in 1960. His work is linked to the Ramanujan conjecture.

One of his books, Galois' Dream: Group Theory and Differential Equations, translated by Susan Addington and Motohico Mulase, is a series of lectures on group theory and differential equations for undergraduate students. The book discusses Fuchsian differential equations but does not fully treat Galois theory.
