Michelle Schimel

Michelle Schimel is a New York State Assembly member for the 16th district. She is a Democrat. Before becoming assemblywoman she was North Hempstead town clerk. She was elected on March 27, 2007 in a special election with 86 percent of the vote to replace Thomas DiNapoli who became State Comptroller.
