Michelina's, now Bellisio Foods Incorporated, is an American frozen food company based in Duluth, Minnesota. Founded by frozen food pioneer Jeno Paulucci, the company is named after Paulucci's mother, Michelina. With recipes dating back to the early 20th century, Bellisio markets authentic and quality conscious products in the United States, Canada, Australia, Russia and China. As the third largest producer of frozen entrées in the United States, Bellisio has an average daily production capacity of over 2 million meals.
Today, Bellisio is comprised of over 70 brands of food with more than 200 entrees in various categories. Some of Bellisio’s brands include: Authentico, Budget Gourmet, Homestyle Bowls, Lean Gourmet, Michelina's, Oven Baked Pizzas, Signature, Yu Sing, and Zap'ems. Currently, Bellisio is working to develop an innovative new line of premium products under the The Joy of Cooking brand.
Fusion Culinary Center, a wholly owned subsidiary of Bellisio based in Lakeville, Minnesota, conducts research and development for many national restaurant chains. Bennigan's Grill and Tavern recently named Fusion its "Vendor of the Year" for their culinary work.
Originally produced in Duluth, Minnesota, Bellisio’s products now ship from its facility in Jackson, Ohio. A number of R&D functions still operate out of Duluth, as well as the packaging and financial departments. The executive offices of Bellisio are located in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
