Michele Canini (born June 5, 1985 in Brescia) is an Italian football (soccer) defender. He currently plays for Cagliari Calcio in Serie A league.
After a loan spell in Serie C1 team Sambenedettese, his first club Atalanta sold him to Cagliari Calcio in co-ownership deal.
He earned a permanent move to Cagliari on summer 2006.
He played in 2005 FIFA World Youth Championship, and 2006 and 2007 UEFA European Under-21 Football Championship.
