Michel's Patisserie is a chain of bakery-style food outlets selling cakes, pies, savouries and espresso coffee. The company is a franchise system that was founded in 1988 and is based in Australia with over 300 retail outlets in all Australian states and territories except Northern Territory and Tasmania as well as New Zealand.
The company began in Sydney, Australia by Noel Roberts and Noel Carroll who are sometimes referred to as the "Two Noels"[citation needed], and the company began Franchising in 1990.
Customers can make special orders at Michel's Patisserie for cakes, including wedding cakes and birthday cakes. Everyday at each store there is a cake of the day, where the specified cake(s) for the particular day is on special when combined with a coffee.
Michels is currently going through renovations, with enormous changes to the logo, store layouts and design, uniforms and colours as well as the deletion of many products to help introduce the new ones.
