Michael Williams (aikido)

Michael Williams is an Australian aikido teacher and the Chief Instructor of Aikido Yuishinkai International
He began aikido in 1974 after seeing Koichi Tohei give a demonstration in New Zealand. In 1981 he moved to Australia from South Africa and established the Ki Society there being appointed Chief instructor of Australia. In January 2002 after resigning from Ki Society he joined Koretoshi Maruyama with the newly formed Aikido Yuishinkai International. Since 2003, he holds 9th dan in that organization. In 2006, he relocated to Fiji with his family to establish a new center for Aikido Yuishinkai.
