Michael Tao Dai Yu (Chinese: 陶大宇, born August 26, 1963) is a Hong Kong television actor.

Tao entered the acting industry in the 80s, affiliating with TVB. It was during this period that Tao earned the name "Housewife Killer" due to his overwhelming popularity amongst housewives (who arguably constitutes a majority of TV viewing audiences in Hong Kong), solidifying his position as a 1st tier television actor in TVB.
Tao later moved over to rival ATV, a move that most believe cost Tao the popularity he enjoyed while he was affiliated with TVB. Although he has since returned to TVB and has starred in a number of television series since, the popularity he enjoyed before his move to ATV was never recovered, and Tao became 2nd/3rd tier actor in TVB, as opposed to the first tier status he enjoyed before.

It was believed that Tao's wife divorced him because of rumours that he was dating fellow actress Sonija Kwok, due to the roles in TVB drama series On the First Beat.
