Michael Starke (actor)

Michael Starke (born Liverpool, England on 13 November 1957), is a British actor best known previously, for his role as Thomas Sinbad Sweeney in the popular soap opera, Brookside, which he played for 16 years (1984-2000).
Starke then appeared in the ITV1 Sunday night drama, The Royal as Kenneth Hopkirk. He also appeared in the Liverpool set film The 51st State as Arthur a policeman.
His stage prowess was confirmed by his appearance in No Holds Bard, along Andrew Schofield. The pair put on an astounding performance, moving the audience from laughter to tears in the blink of an eye.
He appeared in the Pantomime Cinderella in Southport Christmas 2005, alongside Stuart Wade from Emmerdale, and in Aladdin during Christmas 2006 along with comedian Syd Little in York.
In 2007 he joined the cast of Coronation Street, as the head of the new family, the Mortons as Jerry Morton where he owns a kebab shop.
His daughter Hayley appeared on the ITV show "Grease Is The Word" and made it onto the live shows. She finished in 6th place.
