Michael Sodders

Michael "Mike" Sodders is a former minor league baseball pitcher who attended Plant City High School and then the University of Alabama. He was the all-time strikeout and wins leader for the University of Alabama until 2002, when the records were broken. He still holds the record for games started and the undesired record for most losses.
He was originally drafted by the Montreal Expos in the 25th round of the 1987 draft, but he did not sign. He was then drafted by the Chicago Cubs in the 29th round of the 1988 draft, and this time he did sign.
Perhaps Sodders is most well known for being the player the Los Angeles Dodgers received in exchange for Kal Daniels on June 27, 1992.
Since his retirement from professional baseball, he has owned a baseball business and he has spent time coaching baseball. He is currently the coach at Hernando Christian Academy, but he also spent time as an assistant coach at Hillsborough Community College.
