Michael Smith (murderer)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Michael Smith (born 1952) is a British murderer.
He was sentenced to life imprisonment in 2007 after being found guilty of murdering a Stafford man by battering him to death with a champagne bottle. It was then revealed that Smith had been on life licence after being paroled for a previous murder.
On 23 February 2008, The Times revealed that Smith was one of around 50 prisoners who had been issued with a whole life tariff and were unlikely ever to be released.[1]
