Michael Rose (born 28 July 1982 in Salford, Greater Manchester) is an English footballer. He is currently a defender for Stockport County.

Rose began his career as a trainee at Manchester United where he was released before making an appearance. He soon joined Chester City, moving on to Hereford United and then to Yeovil Town, where he spent spells on loan at Cheltenham Town and Scunthorpe United. In the summer of 2006 he agreed to join Stockport County on a two-year deal.
His brother Stephen played alongside him at Chester during the 2001–02 season before moving on to Altrincham.
