[edit] Background
Pärt was born in Tallinn, Estonia, where his family comes from. He is the son of the famous Estonian composer Arvo Pärt[1]. Having grown up in a musical family, where everyone has always been actively involved in creative music, he went to study music in England for 7 years (Double "Music A-Levels", "BA Hons in Music" & MA in "Composition for Film and TV").
Since around 2000, he has been involved in music production for films, which included creative work, such as writing and composing, as well as production work such as producing, engineering, editing, mixing and more.
[edit] Professional focus today
Today, music producer Michael Pärt primarily focuses his creative and technical knowledge in soundtrack productions for feature films, TV and documentaries as well as advertising material. Much of his experience is based on both classical knowledge, with orchestral and ensemble-work at its centre, as well as contemporary and popular music.
He and his company also maintain an active and close relationship to many International composers, artists, performers and music production professionals.
