Michael Novales (born April 13, 1985 in Makati, Philippines) is a Filipino figure skater. He is the first skater to represent the Philippines in an ISU Championships, which he did at the 2006 Four Continents Figure Skating Championships, where he placed 14th. He is coached by John Nicks and Russ Scott. He previously competed at the United States Figure Skating Championships as a novice in 2002 and 2003, where he placed ninth and seventh, respectively. He attends Saddleback College and was the 2005 U.S. Collegiate Championships at the junior level. He began representing the Philippines internationally in 2005. Michael currently teaching skating at the Aliso Viejo Ice Palace at 9 Journey St., in Aliso Viejo. He specializes in choreography, triple jumps and spins.
