Michael Mooney is an Irish soccer player who currently plays for Kildare County F.C. in the League of Ireland.

Mooney made his first team debut for Bohemians in a FAI League Cup tie against St Patricks Athletic in June 2005. He made his first appearance in the 2007 season in a 0-0 draw with UCD on May 4. He was a regular in the Under 21 side.

Mooney signed for John Ryan's Kildare County F.C. on July 31, 2007 along with team-mate Cathal Brady.[1] Mooney failed to make an impact in his first start against Cobh in August, and left the field injured in the second half.
