Michael Monaghan is a rugby league player who plays for the Warrington Wolves in the European Super League. He was born May 13, 1980 in Canberra A.C.T.

He made his 1st Grade debut with the Canberra Raiders against the Cronulla Sharks on June 16, 2001.

Monaghan's junior club was Tuggeranong Buffaloes and his preferred position is halfback. He played with the Canberra Raiders from 2001 to 2003. His younger brother Joel Monaghan plays for the Canberra Raiders.

Michael joined Manly in 2004 as halfback, but changed to Hooker at the start of the 2006 season due to the purchase of halfback Matt Orford from the Melbourne storm.

The Manly half-back has played all of 2007 as hooker and had been touted for rep honours as the Blues reserve hooker.

Michael has done a lot of work with charity and therefore bonded with little Sophie Delezio.

The 27-year-old joined Manly team-mate Chris Hicks in moving to the Warrington Wolves for the 2008 season. [1]

AWARDS: 2006 Ken Stephen award.
