Michael McDonnell

Michael McDonnell [1] is a Florida civil and criminal trial lawyer whose clients have included film legend Hedy Lamarr[2][3] , baseball hall of famer Gaylord Perry and members of the rock band Rush[4]. McDonnell's cases have been featured on Court TV where he is also a guest commentator. Most recently the station featured the trial and acquittal of Gene Gore, accused of assisting his wife's suicide. [5] The case of Steven Benson,[6] another of McDonnell's clients, the tobacco heir accused of igniting two car bombs in the killing of his mother and brother, and the maiming of his sister, is the subject of an episode on Dominic Dunne's, Power, Privilege and Justice[7], as well as several books.[8] McDonnell is adjunct professor of legal studies at Hodges University, Naples, Florida, [9] and was co-founder of Fillabelly, a producer of charitable concerts to feed the hungry.
