Michael "Doc" McCoy is an American radio disc jockey on KVRV 97.7 FM "The River", a Classic Rock station in Santa Rosa, California. Michael's on-air name of "Doc McCoy" was taken from both the role played by Steve McQueen in The Getaway (1972 film) and the character played by DeForest Kelley in the original series of Star Trek.
Michael McCoy is also the author of a new biography, "Through My Mother's Eyes: The Story of a Young Girl's Life as a Prisoner of War in the Santo Tomas Internment Camp." The book is based on the true story of his mother and her family, living as civilian prisoners of war in Manila, Philippines, during World War II.
