Michael Legge (born December 11, 1978 in Newry, County Down, Northern Ireland) is an Irish actor. He has appeared in a number of stage, film, television and radio roles. He is best known for playing the part of the teenage Frank McCourt in Alan Parkers's 1999 film Angela's Ashes.

Michael attended St Colman's College, Newry.

As a child, he came to the attention of drama teacher Sean Hollywood who encouraged the youngster. Hollywood was known in Ireland for his ability to discover new talent in the Newry district.

Michael has been on the London stage every year since 2000. Productions include: Cressida [2] [3], Presence [4], Plasticine [5], Habeas Corpus [6], Southwark Fair [7] [8], and from November 2004 to April 2005 he appeared in the stage version of Philip Pullman's His Dark Materials novels in the National Theatre in London, England [9].
