Michael Husbands (born 13 November 1983) is an English professional footballer who currently plays for AFC Telford Utd
Husbands is a very quick forward who began his career at Aston Villa, where he was a member of their FA Youth Cup winning team of 2002. After a loan spell with Hereford United (where he made 5 appearances), he was released to join Southend United in 2003 where he spent two years, but played only 16 games due to injury. In the summer of 2005 he joined Bristol Rovers for a short spell before moving to Walsall and then Port Vale in the autumn.
In almost two years at Vale, he made 47 league appearances, scoring 5 times, before being released in May 2007.
He signed for Macclesfield on 10th July 2007, where he became Ian Brightwell's first signing as manager. Following a lack of first team opportunities he went on loan to Conference North club AFC Telford United. Husbands signed for AFC Telford on non-contract terms on 31st January 2008; after agreeing terms to terminate his deal at Macclesfield.
