Michael Grabner (born October 5, 1987) is an Austrian professional ice hockey right winger who currently plays for the Manitoba Moose of the American Hockey League. He was drafted by the Vancouver Canucks in the first round, 14th overall, in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft.

[edit] Playing career

Before moving to North America, Grabner played for his hometown team of VSV EC in the Austrian Hockey League in Villach, Austria. He then played two seasons for the Spokane Chiefs of the Western Hockey League before being drafted by the Canucks. He would finish the 2006–07 WHL season with the Chiefs before playing for the Manitoba Moose (the Canucks' American Hockey League affiliate) until the end of their season. He would remain with the Moose for the entirety of the 2007–08 AHL season.
