Michael Floud Blaney

Michael Floud Blaney GC (b. November 14, 1910 - d. December 13, 1940, Manor Park, Essex, England) was the Acting Captain of the Corps of Royal Engineers during World War II, serving as a bomb defuser.

He was awarded the George Cross posthumously for dismantling several bombs on 18 September, 20 October and 13 December 1940. During the last incident he was killed, aged 30, when the bomb in question exploded in Manor Park, Essex.
