Michael Fennelly (born 1985) is an Irish sportsperson. He plays hurling with his local club Ballyhale Shamrocks and with the Kilkenny senior inter-county team.

Fennelly won a Kilkenny Senior Hurling Championship medal with Ballyhale Shamrocks in 2006. He was also selected on the Kilkenny club team of the year in 2006.
[edit] Inter-county
Michael captained the Kilkenny U21 team to victory over Tipperary at Semple Stadium on September 16, 2006. Fennelly was previously on the 2004 All-Ireland U21 winning for Kilkenny. He was on the losing Kilkenny U21 team that was defeated by Galway in 2005. He plays his club hurling for Ballyhale Shamrocks. Fenelly received an All-Ireland senior hurling medal for Kilkenny in 2006, although he did not make an appearance in the final itself. He made his senior inter-county championship appearance (as substitute) in Kilkenny's defeat of Offaly in the 2007 Leinster semi-final.
