Michael Faraday Prize

The Michael Faraday Prize is a science award given annually by the Royal Society. It is awarded annually since 1986 to a scientist or engineer who has excelled in communicating science to public audiences in the United Kingdom.
The prize itself consists of a gift of £2500 and a silver gilt medal, which are presented to the recipient by the President of the Royal Society during the annual Michael Faraday Prize lecture (in which the recipient is required to give a lecture).
