Michael Easton (born on February 15, 1967) is an American television actor.
Easton has made appearances on television shows such as Ally McBeal and The Practice. He had a recurring role on the science fiction television series Mutant X. Additionally, he has appeared on many soap operas, first starting out in the role of Tanner Scofield on NBC's Days of Our Lives from 1991 to 1992. He went on to a two-year stint as vampire Caleb Morley on Port Charles from 2001 until its cancellation in 2003.
He currently portrays Police Lieutenant John McBain on the ABC soap opera, One Life to Live, a role he has played since the creation of the character in 2003. In the summer of 2006, there was speculation that he might be leaving the soap, but he and the show agreed to renew his contract.

[edit] Career
While Easton is best known for his work in daytime drama, he is also an accomplished poet and photographer. His first volume of poetry, Eighteen Straight Whiskeys, is reminiscent of Bukowski's poetry in that it realistically portrays the struggles, independence, and subtle heroism of America's working class. Dark and gritty at times (the poet himself has termed it "a dark ride"), it nonetheless celebrates a movement from the darkness toward the light, which is captured by the cover photo by Easton himself.[1]
Easton's photography also shows promise. His contribution to One Life to Live's text CD, the proceeds of which support victims of Hurricane Katrina, was a booklet of portraits of the contributing musicians. That short portfolio illustrates sensitivity to working with different contexts and photographic forms to capture subjects of the portraits.
In addition to his photographic work, he is the author of "Soul Stealer", which was illustrated by Christopher Shy. The comic will be released July 1, 2008, by DMF Comics.
