Michael David Pfeifer (1937—) is the fifth and current Roman Catholic bishop of the Diocese of San Angelo. He was born in Alamo, Texas on May 18, 1937. On December 21, 1964 he was ordained a priest for the Missionary Oblates of Mary Immaculate and served as a missionary in Mexico for several years. On May 31, 1985, Pope John Paul II named him Bishop of San Angelo; he was installed on July 26 of the same year.
