Michael Cremo (born July 15, 1948, Schenectady, New York), is an American writer specializing in history and philosophy of science.
He is a member of the History of Science Society, the World Archeological Congress, the Philosophy of Science Association, the European Association of Archaeologists and associate member of the Bhaktivedanta Institute,
His best-known book Forbidden Archeology (co-author, Richard L. Thompson), presents evidence (often but not entirely from peer-reviewed scientific studies) of extreme human antiquity, challenging contemporary orthodoxy in Physical Anthropology and neo-Darwinian accounts of human evolution. His other books include Human Devolution: A Vedic alternative to Darwin’s theory
In 2007 Cremo has been awarded an Honorary Doctorate Degree in Science and Theology by the Hungarian Bhaktivedanta College for Religious Science of Budapest [1].
