Michael Anthony Stepovich (born March 12, 1919) is an American Republican politician who was Governor of Alaska Territory from 1957 to 1958. Born in Fairbanks, Alaska, he was a Notre Dame Law School graduate and the first non-acting native-born Governor of Alaska. He was also a member of the territorial House of Representatives from 1950 to 1952, and of the territorial Senate in 1952. He is of Montenegrin (on his father's side) and Croatian descent (on his mother's side) descent.
After leaving office, Stepovich lost a Senate seat in 1959, the governorship in 1962 and a GOP primary for governor in 1966.
He is the father-in-law of the former NBA player John Stockton.
