MIC•DTU

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

MIC•DTU is a research institute of micro- and nanotechnology at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU) in Kongens Lyngby, ten kilometers north of Copenhagen. MIC represents a research environment where micro and nanotechnology are applied to a wide range of scientific disciplines, e.g. mechanics, optics, chemistry, and the life sciences. MIC has access to a state-of-the-art cleanroom, chemical laboratories, biochemical laboratories, and optical laboratories. MIC’s vision is to ensure the establishment of a micro and nanotechnology industry in Denmark. Our mission therefore comprises three distinct activities: Scientific research in micro and nanotechnology, education of scientists and engineers in micro and nanotechnology and transfer of scientific knowledge to private industry. MIC is part of the joined nanotechnology and nanoscience efforts at the DTU, known as Nano•DTU.
