[edit] Request for mediation
A request for mediation has been filed with the Mediation Committee that lists you as a party. The Mediation Committee requires that all parties listed in a mediation must be notified of the mediation. Please review the request at Wikipedia:Requests for mediation/Falun Gong, and indicate whether you agree or refuse to mediate. If you are unfamiliar with mediation, please refer to Wikipedia:Mediation. There are only seven days for everyone to agree, so please check as soon as possible. --Fire Star 火星 14:04, 8 August 2006 (UTC)

Concerning your oppose of my RFA, no I haven't written any featured articles. Could you please clarify on the page why that is a factor in my request for adminship when I intend to use the tools for other areas? Thank you. Cowman109Talk 23:17, 8 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] OFA? 1FA?
Hi, are you saying that an admin must have a FA without any alternative, or are you referring to User:Mailer_diablo/1FA? Cheers, :) Dlohcierekim 23:51, 8 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] I already explained
The problems with those terms. "Revisionist" makes people think that they're out to deny the whole event. "Fake" makes people think that it is claimed they're doctored - that's only the claim with different ones. You have to think what people will assume, unless it is explained fully in the article. John Smith's 12:00, 9 August 2006 (UTC)
- I understand what you mean. It is what people will assume by looking at the article. So I think we shouldn't use such terms until any photos are fully discussed in the article. John Smith's 09:45, 10 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] 3RR block on User:Kmaguir1
While I would certainly more than support much more escalation of the block time than the 24 hours you chose, I'm pleased you blocked this 3RR violator. Can I nudge you, however, to place the corresponding notice on User talk:Kmaguir1 to document your action? LotLE×talk 19:53, 11 August 2006 (UTC)
- Hmm... immediately after your block expired, Kmaguir1 resumed the same destructive reversion he was blocked for: [1]. It's not 3RR again, but perhaps a nice firm nudge (or kick) from an admin can head off the next violation at the pass. LotLE×talk 19:43, 12 August 2006 (UTC)
- Do you just sit around complaining to sympathetic admins all day? Why don't you actually do something for a change. Goodness--you attack me with a vigilance, you find out my university, investigate departments, students. I mean, really, is this the Securitat? Please, you know, just leave my private life out of it--I never dragged yours into it. And stopped whining to admins everytime there's a problem you can fix on your own. -Kmaguir1 08:10, 13 August 2006 (UTC)

Thanks so much for voting, Miborovsky! Thanks so much for your taking your time to vote on my request for adminship! With a final vote count of (82/5/0), it succeeded, and I'm now an administrator! Although 1FA is not a criteria I believe in personally, I respect others' rights to use it. I assure you, though, you have nothing to worry about with me being an admin. I'll be very careful/conservative at first, so I don't accidentally do anything wrong. Feel free to contact me with any comments/suggestions in the future!

Program Feature: To-Do ListThe Esperanza To-Do List is a place where you may list any request, big or small, for assistance. If you need help with archiving your usertalk, for example, all you need to do is list it here and somebody will help you out. Likewise, if you need help with some area of editing on Wikipedia, list it here! Again, any matter, trivial or not, can be placed on this page. However, all matters listed on this page must not be of an argumentative nature. You do not need to be a member of Esperanza (or this program) to place or fulfill requests on this page. If you don't have any requests, consider coming by and fulfilling a few! This program has not been very active, but has lots of potential! What's New?In order to help proposed programs become specific enough to make into full-fledged programs, the In development section of the proposals page has been created. Proposals that are promising, but need to be organized in more detail are listed here. Please take a look at what is there, and help the proposals turn into programs. To improve both the layout and text of the front page, in an attempt to clarify the image of Esperanza, the front page is going to have some redesigning take place. Please take your creative minds to Wikipedia:Esperanza/Front page redesign to brainstorm good ideas.
The last AC meeting (full log)
- In order to make sure all users who join Esperanza are welcomed, a list of volunteers who are willing to welcome new Esperanzians is at Wikipedia:Esperanza/Members#Esperanza_welcomers. Please add yourself if you are interested; we want to make sure all new Esperanza members are welcomed!
- The In development section of the proposals page has been created.
- Proposals page: Some proposals have been moved to the aforementioned "In development" section, some have been left as a proposal, and others have been archived. For those proposals that were a good idea but didn't necessarily constitute a program, General Esperanzial Actions has been created.
- Two small pieces of charter reform will be decided on in a straw poll at Wikipedia talk:Esperanza/Governance. One involves filling the position of any councillors who may leave, the other involves reforming the charter.
- Until cooperation with the Kindness Campaign is better defined, it remains as a proposed program.
- There is a page for discussing the front page redesign.

Thanks for uploading Image:Hao Mengling in Taihang Shan Shang.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:

[edit] Admin graphs
Like you, I am a requester of graphs, not a creator of them. If you read this discussion you will see that Tariqabjotu and Petros471 created them for us. Just looking at the numbers I see that new FAs are not growing nearly as fast as edits to the project. The question this raises in my mind is why are edits going up so fast? If it is due to vandalism, then the numbers of admins should be tied more to the edits than to the FAs, in the sense that the admins address the vandalism makers in the hopes of leaving the content creators free to work on content. Of course there are other ways to look at it, once the graph is made, you should start a discussion at WT:RFA if so inclined. If you get someone to create the graph you want (or ever find some other interesting ones), please let know or just add it to my admin graphs subpage for me. Thanks. [edit] September Esperanza Newsletter
Program Feature: Barnstar BrigadeHere in Wikipedia there are hundreds of wikipedians whose work and efforts go unappreciated. One occasionally comes across editors who have thousands of good edits, but because they may not get around as much as others, their contributions and hard work often go unnoticed. As Esperanzians we can help to make people feel appreciated, be it by some kind words or the awarding of a Barnstar. This is where the Barnstar Brigade comes in. The object of this program is to seek out the people which deserve a Barnstar, and help them feel appreciated. With your help, we can recognize more dedicated editors! What's New?September elections are upon us! Anyone wishing to be a part of the Advisory Council may list themselves as a candidate from 18 September until 24 September, with the voting taking place from 25 September to 30 September. Those who wish to help with the election staff should also list themselves! Appreciation Week, a program currently in development, now has its own subpage! Share your good ideas on how to make it awesome there! The Esperanza front page has been redesigned! Many thanks to all who worked hard on it.

- I apologise for the drive-by RFA oppose. "Insufficient quality" refers to my criterion that in case an editor has no FA but several highly-evolved articles that are perhaps deserving of being FA, I could possibly consider those to satisfy the 1FA criterion. In your case, the articles you provided as your best work did not meet my standards. -- Миборовский 22:34, 18 September 2006 (UTC)
I can't say I agree with your need for a featured article- an admin's work is mostly maintenance-based.
Once I get more time I may try for an FA just for the hell of it anyway!
Thanks for the clarity.

I have absolutely no intention of putting on racist comment on my page, but again I said I do not endorse the statement made on my userpage. The statement strictly act as a retaliation of User:Jiang userpage and talkpage, which said Taiwan=shame when he refused to remove such comments from his page. Other admins said it was okay to provoke racial hatred on talkpage and userpage, which I think is total B.S, but apparently that is how wikipedia works. But again, this is an example of double standard. I will not be removing that until Jiang remove his. If the content on my userpage troubles you then I strongly advise you to take a neutral stand and work out a peaceful resolution between me and Jiang.--Bonafide.hustla 04:44, 8 October 2006 (UTC)
What about the comment that says Dalai Lama owns slave? Taiwan=shame and comment that says President Chen should be executed definitely violated WP:NPA according to your reasoning. This is obviously double-standard. I also got a couple of thread/discussion that support my reasoning. see [[8]], User:Nlu clearly states this is a userpage, not an article. [[9]] [[10]]. I got lots more if you're interested. Meanwhile, please stop threatening to nominate my userpage for deletion on my talkpage. I already made it clear that until Jiang removed his PA and racist image toward Taiwanese I will NOT remove mine.--Bonafide.hustla 01:03, 9 October 2006 (UTC)
