I am an old-time resident, born and raised in Miami, Flordia. Many years ago, there was a newspaper called the "Miami News," which helped balance out the reporting of stories in South Florida. Long ago bought out and shuttered, the primary news source in Miami is a pro-business paper (Miami Herald) which avoids any local reporting that may upset its corperate or political sponsors.
