The Miami University Marching Band (MUMB), the marching band of Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, was founded in 1935.[1]

The Miami University Marching Band consists of about 260 members, featuring brass, woodwinds, battery, and a pit percussion section. Baton twirlers, a color guard, and a dance team (called the Shakerettes) also perform with the band.

[edit] Traditions

The MUMB performs at all home Miami University football games. Every other year they travel with the football team to the University of Cincinnati.
