[edit] The Campus

A regional campus of Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, Miami Hamilton was established in 1968 in Hamilton, Ohio. On the Hamilton campus, students can earn an associate degree and/or begin coursework toward a bachelor's degree by relocating to Miami's Oxford campus or transferring to another four-year institution. Students also may complete four-year bachelor's degree programs in engineering technology and nursing entirely on Miami's regional campuses in Hamilton and Middletown, OH. A Bachelor of Integrative Studies (BIS) degree is now being developed and is anticipated for offering on both regional campuses beginning in Fall 2008. Consistent with all of Miami University's baccalaureate programs, the new BIS degree will incorporate the Miami Plan for Liberal Education which includes a 36-hour foundation, a nine-hour thematic sequence, and a capstone seminar.

Miami Hamilton also offers continuing education courses for professional and personal development.

Many students work at least part-time and have families of their own. [2]. Class scheduling is flexible, with evening and Saturday classes available to accommodate non-traditional students who are busy balancing family and job.

A licensed, on-site child care center offers affordable childcare for children of Miami Hamilton students, faculty and staff. [3] The Office of Learning Assistance offers tutoring services throughout the year, plus a number of workshops on topics including time management and exam preparation. [4]
