The Miami-Hollywood Motorsports Park was built in 1966. It was adjacent to the Hollywood Sportatorium on the corner of 172nd Avenue and Hollywood Boulevard (now Pines Boulevard) in Pembroke Pines,Florida. This speedway had gone through many various name changes over its long history including: Miami Speedway,Miami Dragway, Moroso Motorsports Park, Miami-Hollywood Speedway, and others. However, it was home to many famous races and was a nationally recognized National Hot Rod Association racetrack. It featured a quarter mile drag strip where you could race all types of modified cars or traditional racing cars. The dragstrip went from the SW to the NE. It closed in 1992 due to western expansion of new homes. Now, the community subdivions of "Pembroke Isles" occupies where it used to be.
