[edit] Plot
The show opens with Horatio facing four members of the Mala Noche gang. He confuses, then shoots down, three of them. Two more gang members, riding motorcycles, drive into the scene and are quickly dispatched as the fourth Mala Noche attempts to flee. A car pulls up and the passenger fires some shots at Horatio. He shoots the driver of the car and the passenger hops in the driver's seat and pulls off. The Mala Noche from before chases after the car but is shot by Horatio in the shoulder. As the wounded man reaches for his machete, Horatio walks up and finishes him with one final shot to the head.
Horatio returns in Miami, and Eric informs him that Calleigh has been kidnapped. He also tells him that Tripp found her Hummer abandoned and with three bullet holes in the driver's-side door. Noting the lack of skid marks and the absence of any sign that Calleigh put up a struggle, Horatio determines that she was the victim of an ambush.
Calleigh wakes up, bound and gagged, in an empty warehouse. She sees two men and a dead body on the floor. One of the men, holding a gun, tells her that they need her to help make sure that the dead man isn't traced back to them. Calleigh uses quick thinking, her CSI experience, and fundamental chemistry to lead her team to find her.
