Template talk:Mi2km2

Should be redirected to the more comprehensive (and more consistently-named) template {{mi2 to km2}}. Powers T 14:34, 30 April 2008 (UTC)

No; the two templates serve different purposes. That one is for use in article text, this one for use as a subtemplate of infobox templates. The main difference in functionality is that this one offers the possibiliy of switching the order: metric before imperial or vice versa, potentially depending on other parameters in the infobox such as country etc. as in {{Infobox Settlement}}.--Kotniski (talk) 14:41, 30 April 2008 (UTC)

The template documentation should specify that "This template is primarily for use in infobox templates; use {{mi2 to km2}} for article text." Powers T 15:48, 30 April 2008 (UTC)

Agreed. We'll have to wait for an administrator to come along and do it though.--Kotniski (talk) 16:08, 30 April 2008 (UTC)
Y Done, I just moved the documentation to use the {{documentation}} format, so you can now edit it yourself at {{Mi2km2/doc}}. --CapitalR (talk) 16:29, 30 April 2008 (UTC)
