As of 2001 India census[2], Mhasla had a population of 8762. Males constitute 49% of the population and females 51%. Mhasla has an average literacy rate of 73%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 76%, and female literacy is 70%. In Mhasla, 15% of the population is under 6 years of age. Mhasla is a growing town in the Raigad district. It is almost 80% under construction. All the old buildings have been renovated and given new looks. You can also find shopping malls in this small town which is not actually small. You can find one of the best quality of mangoes(alphonso) which is also exported to foreign countries. Many new projects are being planning in this town. You can find everything in this town, right from studies to work.
