Mhangami Primary School is an Anglican run church in Shurugwi in Shurugwi Rural Areas initially called St Pius and renamed to Mhangami in honour of the local Chief Mhangami, the area in which the the school was built. The school was established in 1943 and offers up to grade 7 with 2 classes per grade making having 14 classes.
It is only 1 mile from Cha Cha Cha Township and also is within the influence of Marira Village but for quality of education most parents choose to send their children to Vungwi Primary School and Ndawora Primary School.
Most pupils go to Mupangayi Secondary School or Rusungunuko Secondary School after their primary education.
It is located 2km on the road from Cha Cha Cha to Pakame Mission, 8km down the road will be Gundura Primary School which is 3 km before Pakame.
