[edit] Redirecting Mafiascum to a web site

In these edits you unsucessfully attempted to redirect the article "Mafiascum" to a web site. First, redirects on Wikipedia only work to link to other Wikipedia articles. Second, even if it did work, such a redirection is wildly inappropriate. The proposed site isn't Mafiascum. Even if it was, the appropriate place for links is in the "External links" section of an article. 128.105.185.14 22:28, 2 August 2007 (UTC)

Oh okay. I'm sorry. I didn't know. Is there anyway I can make it go back? Mgoblue1987 16:01, 3 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Mymafiamania

A tag has been placed on Mymafiamania, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because it is an article about a certain website, blog, forum, or other web content that does not assert the importance or significance of that web location. Please read our criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 7 under Articles, as well as notability guidelines for websites. Please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources which verify their content.

Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait a while for you to add contextual material, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on Talk:Mymafiamania. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Thanks. Realkyhick 16:11, 3 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Conflict of interest

If you have a close connection to some of the people, places or things you have written about in the article Mymafiamania, you may have a conflict of interest. If you have a conflict of interest, you should avoid or exercise great caution when:

  1. editing articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with,
  2. participating in deletion discussions about articles related to your organization or its competitors,
  3. linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam);
    and you must always:
  4. avoid breaching relevant policies and guidelines, especially neutral point of view, verifiability, and autobiography.

For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have conflict of interest, please see Wikipedia:Business' FAQ. For more details about what constitutes a conflict of interest, please see Wikipedia:Conflict of Interest. Thank you. --McGeddon 16:28, 3 August 2007 (UTC)

ohz okay. mcgeddon can you help me? Mgoblue1987 16:38, 3 August 2007 (UTC)

Sure. What's the problem? --McGeddon 16:49, 3 August 2007 (UTC)

I had a speedy deletion thing, but now it's gone. I didn't remove it and don't want to get in trouble for it being gone, I have no clue where it went. Mgoblue1987 16:51, 3 August 2007 (UTC)

If you look at the article history, you can see it was deleted by an anonymous user. So long as that user genuinely wasn't you, you're fine. Your article will be noticed and nominated again if it fails to explain why the subject is important, though. If it's been mentioned in the press or on a large gaming site, you should mention this in the article and provide a link.
If it's just a small, amateur web site that hasn't had any coverage and isn't partcularly notable, though, I'm afraid it doesn't deserve a Wikipedia article. (If you decide that you want the article deleted yourself, just put {{db-author}} on it, and someone will delete it for you.) --McGeddon 17:36, 3 August 2007 (UTC)

okay thank you, I put that tag on there. It was not I who delted it 147.240.236.8 17:59, 3 August 2007 (UTC)
