Big Boss, as depicted in the Japanese user's manual for the original Metal Gear. The image has been flipped from its original source to fix an artist error.

- This image is used in the article: Big Boss (Metal Gear).
- The image from the Japanese user manual is used to represent a well know character of the game. Namely Big Boss, a central figure in the Metal Gear series appearing numerous times in various games.
- The image is being used in an informative way and should not detract from the game. Minimal size and quality. Improves article.
- The image does not limit Konami's ability to sell the game.
- It is not replaceable with an uncopyrighted or freely copyrighted image of comparable educational value.
