[edit] Plagiarism
The first half of the mexican league entry is plagiarized word-for-word from www.baseballlibrary.com. THIS ARTICLE IS PLAGIARIZED AND NO ONE HAS DONE ANYTHING TO STOP IT
[edit] Needed Information
There's a lot lacking in this, otherwise lengthy, article. Hopefully, someone with the right background can produce a better article. Please note the following areas of interest that should be addressed. GENERAL DESCRIPTION: There should be some discussion of the rights that the Mexican League holds, regarding the signing of Mexican nationals. What is the relationship between the Mexican League and MLB, in regards to signing Mexican League players? When was the AAA status granted the Mexican League? Define the formal relationship between professional baseball in the U.S. and Mexico, as well as with Japan and other Latin American professional leagues. HISTORY: List all of the U.S. players who played in the outlaw league of the 40's, including both Negro League and MLB players. Who were they, who did they play for, and what were their contributions to the league? Who were former Mexican League players, of Mexican nationality that began their professional careers in Mexico, that played in the Major Leagues? I find it odd that there was no discussion of Fernando Valenzuela. In terms of records: Who are the Mexican League record holders in batting (life-time average and homeruns) and pitching (most wins, most shutouts, saves, etc)? What is the most successful franchise? CULTURE: How is the Mexican League perceived in Latin America?

[edit] Mexican League or Mexican Baseball League???
Today I set up a Redirect from Mexican Baseball League to this article, yet I question whether the two articles should be switched, with the Mexican League entry pointing to Mexican Baseball League, and the content copied from one to the other. Unfortunately, I also found that much of the content is plagiarized from the source mentioned above, and needs to at least be rewritten. Someone who is fluent in Mexican Spanish could help a lot with this, by checking primary sources like the league'[s own website. Gladmax 01:47, 13 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Suggestion
Copyvio, etc., notwithstanding, I'd like to suggest turning this article into something called "Professional baseball in Mexico" and including sections pointing to main articles including Liga Mexicana de Beisbol and Liga Mexicana del Pacífico, the summer and winter leagues, respectively. This article could include history of other Mexican leagues. Rolando (talk) 02:53, 8 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Copyright
How is it that this page has been recognized as a copyvio for six month, but no one has done anything about it. I removed the entire body of the article because it was a direct copy from baseballlibrary.com. If any of you see a copyvio in the future, don't be afraid to cut it out yourself.
