This species is oviparous.

The Mexican Mole Lizard lives in Baja California, Mexico. Like all other amphisbaenians this is a burrowing species that only surfaces after heavy rain.

It is an opportunist and eats small animals including lizards and insects.

Up to 6.5-9.5 in (17-24 cm).
