A large group of jewelry designers are always there to display their new looks, and their displays are usually a good indicator of jewelry trends to watch for the following season. Sometimes a few colors overshadow others. Winter 2008 fashion and accessory lines are varied but there are some color trends to watch for:

Southwestern colors like tan, clay, orange and brown

Cool water colors like greens, blues, silver and white

Warm reds and fuchsia

Ink-like colors accented with gold Jewelry and accessories flatter the new fashions and a few trends are obvious:

Lots of silver and gold

Sculpted resins in smooth but bold designs

Smoothly carved organic materials like coconut and horn

Peridot, chalcedony and blue topaz
