The article can be improved; you might email the company's PR and ask them about patents granted the founders of the two original companies (Erhard Mettler around 1945 for the single-pan balance, in Switzerland; and Henry Thobald around 1901 for the automatic price disply, in Ohio). Citing patents would provide some notablity and some history. Then you can mention the 10,000 employees and the NYSE ticker sign. Pete St.John 16:40, 21 June 2007 (UTC)

Also, They acquired Thornton Associates. Dr. Thornton, an MIT researcher, invented the standard of measuring water purity in Cubic-inches by playing one square inch plates, one inch apart and measuring the resistance and conductivity of the water - Patent references, history of Thornton Associates?
