[edit] Requested move

Move Thames Division → Marine Support Unit, as that's what it's been since 2001. Sapient 14:03, 1 April 2006 (UTC)

  • Oppose. Yes it is now the Marine Support Unit, but the name "Thames Division" is far better known and most people interested in the subject are likely to put that into the search box. Does four years with a new name cancel out 162 years of history under the old name? In addition, Marine Support Unit is a generic name that could feasibly be used by any police unit anywhere, whereas Thames Division is very specific. -- Necrothesp 16:19, 1 April 2006 (UTC)
I see your point and it's valid enough. I'll withdraw the request, though I'll put a note in the diary for 2163 to revisit the issue :-) Sapient 16:55, 1 April 2006 (UTC)
