[edit] Edits by 88.106.13.39

I have reverted the edits to this article and Bluewater by 88.106.13.39. The author contradicts himself/herself across the articles. In the Metrocentre article he says the Metrocentre has the largest retail floor area (which AFAICT, is the usual accepted measure of shopping centre size) but is smaller than Bluewater because it has a smaller "multi-activity" area, whatever that is. In the Bluewater article, he goes on to state that Bluewater has the largest retail floor space (which is simply incorrect) not mentioning "multi-activity" area at all. [edit] ASDA store

"The first mall of the MetroCentre was built in 1986 - the red mall. At the time it featured a large Asda store."

This is true. Although the unit in question! had always been occupied by a supermarket before it was demolished to make way for the new red mall, Asda were not the occupants when the mall opened. There were two other stores before Asda. I can't remember their names but i think the second one was carfour (or something like that)

That would be Carrefour, the French supermarket chain, I assume. I think it was also Gateway (Now trades as Somerfield) at some point as well? However the Carrefour link might suggest Food Giant as well? Pit-yacker 16:33, 29 April 2007 (UTC)

It was definitely Carrefour when the centre opened. (Lifetime resident of NE England, 28th June 2007)

Correction. Austria is in the European Union so the Metrocentre is the second largest in the European Union —Preceding unsigned comment added by Sonusgr (talkcontribs) 15:59, 31 May 2008 (UTC)
